The Art of brunch
Form in the making
CREATIVE WORKSHOP & SUNDAY BRUNCH
At the foot of Mont Ventoux, where materials speak as much as the landscape itself, Crillon le Brave invites guests to explore the art of ceramics alongside Emmanuelle Popelin, founder of POEM Ceramics. For her, everything begins with the hand with the touch of the clay, the attention given to form, and the time allowed for creation to unfold freely. Her workshops are designed as moments of grounding. Participants learn, of course, but above all, they slow down. Each piece gradually comes to life, guided with subtlety, in a simple and focused atmosphere.
Once shaped, the piece continues its journey in her studio glazing, firing before returning to you, transformed yet faithful to its original intention.
Shaping, refining, creating with your own hands
At the end of summer, the gesture slows down again. This workshop invites you to shape clay freely, letting the form emerge through touch. Starting from a block of clay, each participant imagines a piece, useful or decorative, guided attentively by Emmanuelle. The movement grows more precise, the material responds, the object takes shape without ever being fixed too soon. The experience stays open and accessible, with no expectation of prior skill.
Over two hours, each participant is free to create the piece of their choice: a mug, a bowl, a small vase, a catchall, a candle holder, or a sculpture. Emmanuelle remains present throughout the session, guiding each person according to their level and their project. The atmosphere is convivial, and the pace follows that of the hands.
The time spent in the workshop then gives way to a longer transformation: drying, glazing, firing. Three weeks later, the piece reappears, finished, ready to take its place in everyday life, entirely handmade.
